How it works

The Fiat Chrysler Automotive Apprenticeship Programme is designed to train and develop Apprentices in a way that enables them to keep pace with advancing technology and high levels of customer service. All of the training is delivered in our Training Academy at the University of Slough. The training is delivered in partnership and managed by Babcock Training.

The comprehensive programmes provide Apprentices with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training, while in full-time employment.

On completing the course, Apprentices will gain a Vocational Competence Qualification (VCQ) Level 3, an IMI Technical Certificate, an Advanced Apprenticeship Completion Certificate and Functional Skills Certificates (Core Skills Scotland)relevant to their chosen specialist area.

What's Involved?

The Programme for the Service Technician lasts 3 years. Apprentices will receive specific product knowledge delivered whilst on block training.

The Programme for the Parts Advisor and Customer Service Advisor is for 2 years. A Level 2 Framework is achieved in 12 months and the Level 3 in a further 12 months. Both of these Programmes are delivered within the Fiat dealership allowing Apprentices to study and achieve in their own working environment. This is carried out by one to one learning sessions through a regular 12 weekly visit cycle from Babcock Vocational Learning Advisors who observe all evidence opportunities that occur naturally in the workplace.
